President’s Letter – January 2021

A letter in a brown envelope

We’re back!

After having to cancel our December Holiday program (Covid 19 lockdown) it was great to see everyone at our January luncheon!  We weren’t about to completely abandon our holiday party festivities, so we basically rolled it right into our January program. As always, the gift bag drawing was the highlight of the luncheon and a lot of people walked out with some very nice gifts. I of course, didn’t win anything so my record is intact……but, there’s always next year!  Special thanks to everyone on the Holiday Party Committee for an amazing job.

We also celebrated SHRW’s 15 anniversary at the luncheon.  Several Charter Members were in attendance, including the Club’s first President Michelle Turner.  Congrats to this small but determined group of women who turned an idea into the successful and highly regarded Southern Hills Republican Women club.  Fifteen years and still going strong!

Because we were unable to meet in December, we have extended the 2021 membership renewal deadline to March 31.  If you haven’t renewed yet, visit our website  and click on the Membership tab for details. This year we’ll focus on both political and community events and are lining up interesting, informative speakers to keep us up to date on all the latest happenings in our community and statewide.

Our featured speaker at the February luncheon is Victor Joecks from the Review Journal.  If you want an up-to-date overview of some of the most important issues we’ll be facing in 2021 you won’t want to miss this one.

See you on February 23rd!

Janice Sutcliffe, President
